Teresita de la Torre is an artist and educator based in Southern California. She has taught drawing and painting courses within K-8 school settings, community colleges, and universities, and has also developed and led community arts education workshops for youth and families in California, Texas, and Mexico.
As an artist, Teresita has performed and exhibited work across Southern California, Texas, Georgia, Tijuana, Taiwan, and Berlin in spaces like Grand Central Art Center, East Int’l (ESXLA), Museum of Design Atlanta, Torrance Art Museum, Dallas Latino Cultural Center, The Mexican Consulate of Los Angeles, and the LACMA/Charles White Elementary School Gallery.
Teresita was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and migrated with her family at a young age to Laredo, Texas. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from Texas A&M International University, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from California State University, Fullerton.
